I love your life

For some reason you have me like no one ever has. It’s not obligation or need that makes me stay here.  It could be your green eyes, or the ink that covers your skin. But pretty eyes and artwork isn’t all that attracts me, and it isn’t what makes me stay with someone for as long as I’ve been here. 

Your caring gestures and warm words help, as well as your trust and seeming acceptance of every part of me. Intelligence that never stops to amaze and stories that always make me laugh.  But all of these are general traits, and in a city of thousands upon thousands like this one, I can’t help but feel that there are many others who would care and love me just like you do. And believe me, I love the chase, I chased you for months. I love being alone, I love looking for a new love but I haven’t had the urge since you started kissing me.  Though I’ve tried a few times. 

I think its your life, I don’t need to push you, I don’t need to inspire you, because you can do that all yourself. You who came form the depths of despair, drug ridden and poor, trouble with the law and a general “I don’t give a shit” attitude. You alone fixed yourself, you changed your outlook and have built a life, a life many envy. Its your life I love, I want to be a part of it.  I want to be one of its accomplishments. I want you to look at me and think, “yeah, now I’ve got it all.”
